    Good find

    I told you it isn't ...

I wish those who wrote a lot of articles and books on antennas were still alive and did videos for people to listen to their work.

Thanks for posting. Very informative. There was one guy who insisted I needed to get my mobile SWR down to a perfect match. I told him I was pretty close, at about 1.4. He said it's not good enough, as it "sounds better" at 1:1. On an unrelated note, there was someone who insisted plugging an export radio directly to the battery instead of the cigarette lighter so he could get more power, even though it was running just fine off the cigarette lighter. In summary, thank you for providing quality information amongst all this BS we have to deal with.

a 955 497 655 Stryker do not need to be run down to the batteries especially barefoot... tying them into the fuse panel is a lot better option.... the cigarette lighter deal not happening with me anyway....that's kinda a joke to me to do that....piss poor and too cheap a route to go when there are much better options .....

The video I was referring to on YouTube is a General Lee. No amp. I was able to run my General Lee out of a cigarette lighter no problem. Unless you're getting noise, which I never have, it's a perfectly good option. If you don't like the look of it being cheap, that's completely fine, but is purely an aesthetic consideration, not scientific. It is great for slip seat.

Sorry to continue to to derail the thread. I know it's about antenna measurements and what they mean.

Beg to differ dawg...Mark specifically told me to run my barefoot 955(his tune)with 6ga...Your not gonna get required amps from a fuse box or ciggy lighter..
