thans for all the great advice

I have thought about that, but I don't think i'm allowed to put a PO Box on my Driver License, nor am I sure a Company will allow a PO Box as a Home of Record. Also, if my PO Box is in Missouri and i'm in Wisconsin how am I getting mail?

I believe they can revoke my medical card if they believe i'm a threat to myself and/or others

Where will I put the Microwave?

By Ample parking do you mean Bobtail/trailer parking? I don't bobtail home

no, I only have 2 friends, I dont think one would do that for me, and the other one won't go for that because 1) she might move soon and 2) her husband would have a cow. and the only 2 cousin's i'm close in age to 1 I haven't seen in years (and recently got married) and the other isn't on speaking terms with me

again, how do I get mail if i'm in Miami and my mail is in Missouri? and am I really able to use a PO Box on my CDL or use it it as a home of record?

That won't really help, how do I pay the bills if i'm not home? and free water? they'll abuse that right

that has entered my mind but I've only been to Winter Haven once, and that took alot of kicking and screaming to do. they were avoiding sending me down there. Apparently a broken Qualcomm and being 13,xxx miles overdue for a PM aren't important enough (but that's a different story for a different thread)

Good advice, but be sure to check the state on other things - like property, sales, and sin taxes (if ya drink or smoke). Wyoming wins in the choices Chinatown offered but who wants to live there?

I always pictured Wyoming having high taxes (nobody is there so they need to tax who is there) and Sin Taxes are irrelevant in my case, but that's really none of your business

hey! I could move to Utah where they don't have Sin Taxes because nobody sins! although my religion would get in the way

Wyoming is that place where you think "who would want to live here?" then follow it up with "who wouldn't want to live here?"

If I spent alot of time in a certain area I 'd look at something but the more I work with them the less and less dedicated I get, the harder and harder they work me
again, if I had a girlfriend this would be a non-issue (probably) but I don't have one and never will

Forgot this earlier..............BUT....either Mailboxes Etc. or the UPS Store give you a street address. They also offer great forwarding services......if you know you are doing a 34 hr reset somewhere they will overnight the stuff to you. GREAT service.

You don't have to use a PO Box at most UPS Stores or Mailboxes,Etc. stores. Change the word "box" to "apt" and you're good to go. Some states may cross check that, but not all do. Make sure the street address is also on there.
Friend of mine in a similar situation, last time I talked to him, rented a storage room at a facility with 24 hr. access. That's the address on his drivers license and the storage room number is his "Apartment" number.
His home life, before trucking, was horrible. Entire family & relatives shunned him because his mother had an affair with her husbands brother who fathered him. Small minded people in my opinion. Anyway, he has a good life and banking money every payday. Rather than dealing with a dysfuctional family, he attended trucking school and never looked back. He has freedom most people can only dream of.

no girl will go for a guy like me. on top of that i'm a truck driver so I work in an industry full of negative steriotypes (no need to list them off, we know what i'm talking about, and we see them every day) and full of bad press (outlaws who run over "D-list" Celebrities and private citizens) with being home 3 days a month she'll be screwing some other guy (or 2) the other 27 days and probably one of the days i'm home

really? cool! but does it work the same way if you get a package or 2?

    ...ain't that illegal?

and to your second point I think that's one thing causing animosity with my stepdad, I think he is jelous (he'll never admit it)

I doubt it's illegal; he put a cot in there and sometimes takes a nap and reads his mail there. The point is, he was in a bad situation and did something about it. He didn't have a car at the time, only the company truck; nothing holding him back. He did the same thing in Michigan, Utah, California and lives a relatively stress free life. Look at your truckers atlas, pick a new town to call home, and do something about it.
I was friends at one time with a guy from Alabama; everything he owned was in a suitcase except his huge bank account. Last time I saw him, several years ago, he was in Jacksonville, FL and headed for Utah. Said he planned to live there for awhile. Every state has good trucking jobs so nothing holding anyone back. Even married drivers can do it. Took me two weeks to get rid of all my stuff at a garage sale and make a move.

ChinaTown makes a good point. Let me expand on it. Does your employeer run Mexico or Canada ? If so, take some runs north and see the world ! After you poke along America on the 80 or the 90, see about a run up north and do the Trans Canada. There is a lot of nothing along there, especially in northern Ontario. Maybe it'll help you reflect and clear your mind ? Just another thought.

    Thus endith the therapy session
