    Ask my GPS...

"The Next Exit" lists mostly everything within 3 miles of any interstate exit - mucho handy! I use the truckstop pocket guide for a quick reference, but the big truckstop guide is invaluable.

    Scam? Hardly.

    Thanks for posting this.

Coming from local jobs, I'm new to routing myself and going to areas that I am unfamiliar with. These posts have helped me out quite a bit.

Only thing that still screws me up are the loops around a city. Gets confusing to get on a road heading east, hop off an exit, then have to get back on going north, south, or even west to keep going in the same direction you were going before you took the exit. These roads are what convinced me to get a GPS.

Except here in Long Island, New York, where I-495 not only doesn't loop anything, it doesn't even connect directly to I-95! And forget about one mile exit markers as a guide, also!

If anyone is interested in the history of the Long Island Expressway (I-495) in New York, here are some facts for you: http://www.nycroads.com/roads/long-island/

And the rest of the roads (major/minor/interstate/expressway/etc): http://www.nycroads.com/roads/
