I have the truck and everything in line to run, had a load to pickup until the broker said my authority was still in-active.. It's been 3 weeks. I need to get to work. Does anyone know how I can get this last process taken care of quickly so I don't lose anymore loads?:biggrin_25510:

Did you think you could get it in a couple days? You didn't know that your authority was in-active and had to be told by your broker? Good luck dude, your gonna need it.

Did you submit your authority forms on-line or by mail? Online I believe it takes a minimum of 21 days by mail it could take 4-6 weeks to process...

It's been 3 weeks and was told that when you key in your MC# in the safersys website that your authority is good. Wasn't that way!

Check out OOIDA and also ATBS sometimes you can pay these people a little extra and they will jump through hoops! However never portray in impatient trucker, that's what everyone does and the people on the other end get sick of dealing with it. Relax, be nice, tell them to take their time and it will get done immediately! A lot of people in the trucking industry aren't the sharpest shovels in the shed so you need to just butter their muffin and show them how to paint the white fence!

The L&I website is a better method for checking your MC status:

    http://li-public.fmcsa.dot.gov/LIVIEW/pkg_html.prc_limain

Go to the upper right corner, select "carrier search" , type in your MC#, then select (PDF) report. Make sure your insurance effective date is valid. If there is no effective date, then contact your agent and find out why.

Also, your name, address, and MC# must be published in the Federal Register for 10 working days before your authority is granted. Go back to the L&I site select "FMCSA Register", and search for your #.
