In Dec. 2007, I did have a "random" drug screen come back as positive for meth. I was NOT doing drugs. When I called this company and got an application, filled it out, I mentioned this positive drug screen and brought them 3 more drug screens that showed clean drug screens. They got copies of these results and sent them to Somerset, Ky. While we were at Concentra/Urgent Care, ALL of us signed in and went outside to smoke. I did NOT walk away. Their schuttle van showed up and took me back to the terminal. We talked about this other drug screen and decided not to hire me. Later, around Feb., 2009, I found out what was used and how they used this product found at any Feed and Seed store and any Vet's office. I did a detailed research on this product and filed a detailed complaint to the FMCSA, DOT, and to the AAMRO in Washington, DC. This"Violation of company rules" show up on my DAC report, and when companies call, this company tells them I failed a drug screen. Even though I was only in Ellenwood a few hours, they issued me a driver code, and reported to DAC I was employed. I even faxed this detailed report to them 3 weeks ago to clear my name. No one has disputed my findings and I was allowed to go back to work as a truck driver. I just want my record cleaned OFF my record.

Thanks for the follow up. So it sounds like it's not your DAC stating you have a failed drug test from the employer in Ellenwood, you have a "call for information" and that's when they're saying you failed a drug test. Get back in touch with safety and see what the deal is, and what can be done to change it. If they aren't willing to deal then it's time to get a lawyer and apply pressure.

In the future if you check in for a drug screen, don't ever leave the building until it is completed unless the building is being evacuated.

At any rate 3 more passed screens say nothing. When taken the original sample is split, if contested that is what is retested at the drivers expense and the only way to be proven innocent.

Good news, I disputed this major trucking company and received a disputed and updated Dac Report from HireRight in the mail yesterday. This false information that has been put out by this company has been taken off my record. NO "positive" drug screen is on my record... This should never have been on in the first place. Lesson learned, even though as drivers our names are slandered, we can fix things with the right knowledge, and the proper attitude. I wish to thank ALL replies to this post. Have a safe journey and be careful.

Sounds like a goofy deal. Did they find something you lied about on application? Older failed drug test? Accidents? Otherwise they just screwed your career. Maybe you should have just stayed there and payed $53 for your own drug test right then and there.I understand though you were probably just thinking about them sending you home. They must have been very confident you werent going to be able to sue them or I dont think they would have risked it. I guess se what a lawyer says.
