What’s wrong with trufuel? Other than expensive. I have never ran anything else in my chainsaw. It always fires right up. I also have never ran anything but pump gas in my mowers, tillers, generator and weed eater. They all fire right up. And no I don’t drain them before they get put away for the season. I probably should, but I don’t.

 

Neither do I but they get started every month or so during the winter after a healthy dose of Seafoam and nothing but clear gas

 

Mine may sit as much as two months. But grass growing season is close to 8 months down here. The saw doesn’t get used as much as you guys probably use one. I fired it up today. I had a few trees down from the hurricane. Probably haven’t fired it up in 4 months. I had to clear the dirt daubers out of the muffler. Pumped the bulb about six times- pulled the choke and it fired off with the first pull.

 

I’m bad about keeping up with lawn items. My Honda mower gets put away after the last mow of the season. Then come late march or whenever we need a first mow it has always fired up rather easily.

 

One thing I will say is that I will never buy anything that’s made by husqvarna. The trimmer and blower that I had were both junk after just one summer of use. Constant issues with the carbs

 

You just reminded me that I got to go get a new chain for mine — there was an unfortunate incident involving a railroad spike that I neglected to notice

 

That’s funny. Every thing I have is husky. Mower, saw and weed eater. I had a Honda tiller and a troy built trimmer. Both were constant problems

 

I keep meaning to buy one of them bench mounted saw grinders. I hate doing it with a file. I try to keep it out of the dirt but it doesn’t always happen
