Soooo... I'm not being a smart ###, this is out of my wheelhouse. You're going to be one of the trucks I see driving thru the field alongside the machinery getting loaded as they spit out tons of corn or whatnot?

 

Glad to hear that Brad. That Uber thing might be ok for a few extra bucks here and there but not good for full time. You’ll wear a car out in a hurry. I’ve pulled people and animals for a short time early in my 42yr career. No desire to ever do that again.

 

Most all the guys I know that do hopper work love Harvest time. I know a couple guys that did custom harvesting and have fond memories. I’m a little jealous that I didn’t come up in a part of the country where that was a thing.

You will love it. I did it several years over harvest, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Even sitting in line at an elevator doesn’t matter if you’re getting paid by the hour! (If the A/C works) And if the farmer has his own leg with his own grain bins, you don’t have to worry about that generally.
