Hang in there but as you said...keep the options open. Always good to keep an Ace in your back pocket. Unless someone sees it. That generally just pisses people off. ;)

I suggest you start with Chapter Z. An then the Appendix ZZ for further help.

The company buys them here if a driver needs one.
Somewhat between 700 and 1000 bucks.

We recently switched our clinic because of this and guys who never had BP issues were getting artificially high readings and 6 month or 1 yr cards.
Mgr thought they might be scamming for the extra physical income or the machines were not calibrated correctly.

I slept on it and woke up with a clear head this morning and my insurance should cover a lot of it , the job itself sounds really good with good Benny's, vacation and 6 payed holidays , and weekends off , good hours too.
So I'm going to suck it up cause other than food service and fuel hauling jobs like this are hard to find around here .

Well after having dwelled on this a couple days and thought things over along with this this job being a very good fit for me I cooled off and rationalized some things .
    1. I'm 6'6 and weigh 391 lbs .
    2. I don't sleep all that well.
    3. Complications of sleep Apnea are what killed my father who was a big man .
4.im 60 and have been spoiled with 2 year cards until now .
Maybe this isn't a bad idea and I'll live longer for it .

When I got my CPAP the way they played it was the insurance paid to rent it for a year or so and then the machine was mine to keep once the lease ran out. I had to take in my SD card every month to check my usage. They said the insurance wanted to do it that way so if I didn’t use it they didn’t have to pay for it. The company they were renting from also supplied replacement filters, masks, etc. The company was fine until the contract ran out then they lost interest.
My current machine I just paid cash for and I buy supplies as needed. Once you have a prescription in hand there are several places that will sell you one.

I hear that the actual testing is a lot easier now. Just one device on your hand or somewhere.

That would sure beat the tangle of wires and crap they stuck to my head when I had a sleep test back in the late 90s.

Well I got assigned a truck today and gotta they put me in a nice one to run a 300 mile radius of omaha with and home every night .
I was expecting to slip seat day cabs or at least get the oldest day cab assigned to me but they assigned me a 3 year old international LT sky rise sleeper with an eagle interior ...its very clean inside but the exterior will need my touch .
Hill is very picky and leaves no stone unturned...class started at 12 and they sent 4 drivers home .
I will start my Tuesday to Saturday schedule this coming Tuesday.
