Yes it very much has. Which is why I’m glad I drive this, and am able to sleep in my own bed every night after 20 plus years on the road.

As I said earlier I’m usually out 4 nights. Work for a private fleet and deliver showers and tubs to the big box home improvement places. And a bunch of other plumbing supply places. I stop early in the afternoon and fuel and shower at any truck stop. Leave before Haji and the boys show up. Park at my next delivery and walk a short distance to a restaurant. No roller grill bs for me. Rest rooms are clean there at the delivery and no stinky truck drivers deal to with. Make coffee in the truck and move on. 88K a year and no weekends out or 34hr bs to deal with.

As previously discussed I think with the availability of decent food on the road lacking severely we are going to see a generation of drivers in very poor health by they're 40s .
I've watched what I eat for some time and without quiting smoking I'd probably be dead by now .
But as usual the industry pays little attention to the well being of its workforce , this fast food diet will bite them in the ### someday too and they will be crying once again .
As some of you may gather I have very little sympathy for management in trucking anymore...chew em up spit em out .
My truck is in shop and I'm gauenteed 40 hours a week whether I work or not so today I just sat and watched the boss combine corn and ran an errand for him in a company pick up , worked about 4 hours got paid for 8 .Sirscrapntruckalot, Bro_Dave, austinmike and 8 others Thank this. -
