Wasn't to crazy about going back on the road again but local work here that has ya home every night other than food service and ltl doesent pay more than about 22.00 an hour and the benefits are a joke .
Or they want ya to work 70 hours a week for 20 bucks an hour with crap or no insurance.
My grain hauling job was 25.00 an hour and only guaranteed until the end of harvest and zero benefits.
Concrete companies here starting drivers at 19.50 an hour ...who the hell can live on that ?

That’s why I haven’t found a local job where I live currently because many of the jobs don’t pay but $20 an hour and some less he got a few here and there around $23 an hour, but wanna work about 70 hours a week which doesn’t allow you much time at home when you figure in commuting to and from… There’s a lot of of us that would be home running local if we could find the job that would pay accordingly

Apparently there's alot of drivers that will work long cheap hours to be home at night .
I don't see the benefit of being home nightly if I'm only here long enough to sleep and eat and only get Sundays off .

Couldn’t agree more… it completely defeats the purpose of being home nightly…
