I grew up in Fargo and learned a healthy respect for blizzard conditions in that area along with western Minnesota.

I always thought the best place to get snowed in at was the Petro in fargo. Bar onsite and across the road, really nice liquor store across from home depot... I'll hang tight and wait for them to pull the low grades out the ditch.... :biggrin_2556:

@BeHereNow97 the company I’m with now pulled our line haul guys back that night, and the next day. My route out to Jamestown got cut.

I’m extremely glad I have the option to turn back or not run. Makes it a lot easier and less stressful on us.

As far the XPO management, they just don’t give a rats patootie about the drivers. As long as the freight makes it, the drivers can go to hades for all they care.

@JonJon78 is it bad if I’m on a first name basis with them and the Bottle Barn a few miles away from the Petro? Lol

Fargo was a fun place to live during the 80s when I was in my late teens and 20s , always a party somewhere and if there wasn't a party I'd make one or would be down at river with a cooler hauling monster cats out the red .
Had a hot GF and not a care in the world .

Still somewhat of a party town here, especially downtown and by the college. Living by a river is pretty cool except when it floods, lol. I lived down by the Mississippi River in Southeast Missouri for years, lots of good cats down that way.

Yeah the bar and party scene around there really cooled off when fargo and west fargo PD started handing out dui tickets left and right , moorhead got so bad most people quit going over there .

And they still hand them out like candy here. If I do any drinking, it’s usually at home or the place just down the street from me. Then the wife drives us home from there.
