Glad you're enjoying the new gig. Where do you fuel at? If you're fueling at the terminals, what do you do for showers?

And do you miss OTR, or not really?

 

No I don't miss long haul otr though I am on the road 6 to 7 days before going home and get as far away as Chicago.
We fuel wherever we want and at the Alpena terminal which has nice clean private showers with towels .

 

Fueling... ICK!

First time in 3 months I had to get fuel from a Pilot or the like, what a bunch of idiots hang out un those fuel islands.

I miss the BP in Bristol, WI

 

I stop there whenever I'm in the area.

 

Other than terminal fuel I've been buying all kwik trip premium fuel as per stans instructions during cold weather.
I haven't been in a J, loves , pilot , TA or petro since I started here , none of the fuel or routing plan BS here either .
My dispatcher and I get along very well now and I'm glad I came here .
Good pay , good benefits, home often if you live near a jack links plant , nice equipment that I can get washed as needed and charge it .
I could go on but now that the dispatcher issue has been rectified I have no complaints.
Confidence growing that I've found a home , there's things I will always miss about Morehouse but times and attitudes change , as for FCC they are good people but we just wernt a good fit for each other .
A little self examination goes into this also and ive had to get used to running more stans way than my way which means more night driving and shorter breaks , however when I see my pay checks , benefits, bonuses and perks it becomes worth it .
