People should be at least trained on a 9 speed. That way you get the basics.
What kind of truck did you drive that had a 6 speed? Was it a heavy duty truck like a Mack?

see I tried to go to Sherman bros flatbed which has a training program they said I didn't do bad driving i.e. I did not hit any curbs, my turns we're good, my control of the truck was good. But they told me I needed to go back and get more stick practice? And that sucked because I went all the way to oregon to get sent back. That was last week that all this went down 12/18. So now I'm sitting here stuck with a license and I can't drive and industry standard truck which is 9 or 10 speed. So no one will hire me.
:smt076 I guess my best bet is CR England hahahah or Swift?

Yes it was a Mack to be exact. A 6 speed tractor with a 30 foot or so trailer. Does this mean I have to go back to school all over again? Will any Companies work with me? If anyone knows of any no matter how bad I'll go with them and stick it out just to get the experience. -
Thank you for the info on schneider I went to there website and signed up with them online so I'm waiting for their reply. I hope to hear from them soon. I need to start working soon as possible with one of these companies. -
schneider will pick you right up as long as your past history is good. i.e. your driving record and criminal past checks out.

one thing you gotta remember this is the worst time of the year to looking for work. the holiday season and taxes in january make it very rough. by mid january you should be hooked up with somebody and starting training and making some money.

Picking up the fundamentals of shifting a dual range transmission won't be too hard. You have the basics of shifting down. -
you will be fine after getting hired we have a 5 speed 9 speed 10 speed and a 13 and switch from day to day which can make for a little confusion but hopefully getting hired and just driving the good ol 10 speed exclusively will come to fruition, good luck
