Just told 200 released from management, dm, and recruiting. Lots of KLLM trucks and trailers on the lot in Lancaster when I pulled in today. So it begins.

I was just at the yard. I am now over the "Fundome".
They have not been released yet. Their final day at work is Nov. 4. Everything offically changes on Nov. 4. The president and CEO of KLLM was at the yard today and had a meeting with drivers there at the yard.
Also if you are a L/P (after Nov. 4).....you will have the option to convert over to the KLLM lease program or stay on the FFE lease program for the remainder of your contract. Now the kicker is, eventually Haz-Mat endorsement will eventually be required on every drivers cdl because KLLM does haul Haz-Mat. -
I am in Northern Georgia and I deliver in SC tomorrow morning. I will deadhead to Tarboro, NC to pick up a load that heads to Fort Worth. I am going to try to drop it off in Lancaster and get something else instead of waiting for the delivery. Even if I can't drop if off I will still spend some time Saturday night and Sunday at the Lancaster yard. It will be interesting to see the changes. Is KLLM eventually planning to get rid of the FFE name?

In time, the FFE trucks will be re-lettered to KLLM. There are KLLM trucks already in the Lancaster yard. Also, KLLM is building a brand new yard in Laredo.

I think truckload will be rebadged, but I think LTL will remain FFE.
-
Truckload will also switch to Qualcomms while LTL will keep the PoepleNet until that contract ends, then LTL will switch to Qualcomms. The one thing that will change here soon is the switch from TCH card to Comdata card.

And drivers without hazmat should go get the endorsement.

Getting ready to head over to the yard from the motel. Got a load waiting for me there to go to Detroit.
-
Last time I was in Detroit I waited three days for a load. Good luck.

Sitting in Burlington. Have a load going to Dundee leaving at 0900 tomorrow. Glad I have a day. I need the rest and I must do laundry.
