IRP has nothing to do with CARB. If CA tried to withhold IRP or IFTA fees, IRP and IFTA would sanction the crap out of worse than they did to OK. CA can enforce CA laws, kind of like KPRA settings. In the end, their law for interstate trucks is going to get struck down anyway as it isn't a state's right to limit interstate commerce, its the Feds. SCOTUS is going to have fun with this, mark my words.

Oh, THAT place, I'll stay away. -

Wouldnt want any crazy O/O's running around a port... -

Im still blown away how this is not in the federal courts yet. I am a California resident and cannot believe how law makers here justify affecting the future economy in such a negative way. Consumer costs will skyrocket, business will continue to leave the state, and the ones that stay here will have have to charge so much for their goods and services nobody will be able to afford them. Problem is that everyone is stand up against CARB because it makes you look like you dont want clean air. California does not have the right to regulate interstate commerce bottom line. Until the emission standards are the same California is in the wrong

All I know is....I want payback for having to spend an extra $20K on a brand new tractor....
It would burn me up if they repealed CARB and allowed even mechanical rigs back into Cali..... -
Which is probably why it wont happen. UPS and FedEx would be the first to sue. Along with everyone else including me who was scared into buying CARB compliant trucks or DPF filters
-
Sorry but even if the law gets reversed you can,t sue for upgrading your equipment to comply.,,,,now what will be funny is if they make an.exemption available for a price during produce season whenit hits the fan next year
Kind of like their one trip permit but for three months no one knows what will happen next year but i still don,t see the percentage of compliance.one would expect this close to d day -
Small O/O's did not.....
CARB told me that in order to take advantage of grants and low-interest loans....
I had to be a Designated Company (HOBE....WBE...MBE or WBE) and run more than 51% intrastate....
There's no money running short-hauls for FB in Cali.......And I'm not a Designated biz.....
I'm banking on the estimated 30%-50% of trucks that will the state or leave the biz....
