Well it's been a while since I posted here. I went through the psd program with prime last year in Febuary. I have learned a lot over the last year an a half an still learning out here. Even though I don't post here really at all I do read the this forum on a daily basis. Their are people here who say its only a select few who cheer for prime well that's totally wrong here is another cheer leader for prime me. Prime is a good company to work for. I got my CDL through primes training program an have totally made it a success here. After my training was done I went to the company side for a year then back in march of this year I joined the lease division best move I ever made was going lease. I make really good money on the lease side. But the lease side is not for everyone you can easily fail if you don't know how to run a bussiness. The most common mistake I see with other lease operators is they don't save money for like time off or break downs. If you take hometime you need money set aside for the lease payment so you are not in the hole when you go back on the truck. Their are two people here who i would highly recommend for advise an that is ironpony an U2exit they both have good advise an they are not prime cheer leaders they have just made themselves a success an people just are jelous that these 2 made it. Prime gets me home anytime that I've asked also anytime I've had a situation at home they have always come thru. O just for you who hate primes lease program the worse paycheck I have ever seen on the lease side was 500 dollars. Will post more later just I would post this for the people who like to bash prime all the time.

Well here is a little more. On the company side I operated one of their light weight freight liners which I call a little mini me cascadia. I averaged about 2600 miles a week an always got the fuel bonus. I was always on time with pick ups an deliverys. The entire time I've been with prime I have never been late picking up a load nor delivering. I have no tickets an no accidents. Communication is key with your fleet manager. Also knowing how to run your clock or as you call it E-logs is very important. I usually don't have to do a 34hr reset. I usually stay out for about 2 months then go home for about 2 or 3 days. My experience going through the psd program was very positive I had a good instructor an a good trainer but to be honest I learned more from my instructor then my trainer. I've done a lot of research prime has to best pay for over the road trucking company in the industry an they take safety very seriously. No other company can beat primes starting pay for inexperienced drivers. I came to prime with nothing an now thanks to the hard work I've put in an thanks to prime for giving me the chance I have money an can afford to do things. I am really owe a lot of my success to prime an God for steering me in the right direction in finding the right company to work for because I could have ended up with one of other companies who you are just a number.
Sly48, Highway101 and garp Thank this. -

Make it 2 Nutty... or am I not one of those 1000 You speak of? Good post true122 back you up on that with much the same story. Also know quite a few others at Prime making it and doing well. Oh and by the way happen to be training at the current time and he just asked if he can be counted in your top 1000 Nutty or is that just the loser's bracket?
Sly48 Thanks this. -
Make that 3.... IF Prime was as bad as the trolls say, they wouldnt be in business anymore.
Sly48 Thanks this. -
HAhahahahahahaha shew, hahahahahahaha..................hahahahahahahaha.................My god do you people not have ANY kind of life????

Well this post was meant to let people know information about prime from someone who went through their training program. It wasn't meant for the people who were not prime material. Not every company is meant for everyone. If you have a grudge against prime keep to yourself an move on or just get over it an chalk it up as a learning experience. But unfortunatly some just don't learn from mistakes an want to blame others.
-
I don't see people blaming others on this thread, they are only stating an opinion that you disagree with. And why do so many prime posters resort to swearing at everyone they disagree with. Such hostility and ignorance...

true122,
Glad it worked for you.
