Ain't going to hurt your transmission

Might burn up your clutch if you give it too much gas taking off long term.

Bust up your transmission slamming gears.

This is why I would never hire a driver to drive a truck I own. ###...

This is a good way to drop a driveshaft, break an axle, trash your trans, I would be real upset if a driver dropped the clutch in my truck, no need.

Foot on the brake, no throttle, ease up the clutch till you feel it want to pull. ease off the brakes left foot on the floor now ease into the throttle.

Ignore everything Cargowahgo says. I hope he's a troll and not actually that dull, but you just never know anymore.

A good rule of thumb for starting gears in a 10 speed

    loaded flat ground/4% grade-2nd
    loaded 5% grade or more-1st
    Empty w/ trailer only-3rd
    Bobtail only-4th

Be careful letting the clutch out as not to make the whole truck lunge forward excessively.

    Numb Thanks this.

    I'm known to troll occasionally

    ;)

But noob can do it the "proper" way like you guys are saying.

Or the "real way". Which he'll figure out eventually like floating.

If you keep popping my clutch like you do you are gonna rip out my drive shaft !!!!!

I'd have so much fun screaming at you :D

    But you'd get it.
