Flatbed that use teams & new CDL grads :

    System Transport
    Melton Truck Lines
    CRST (flatbed division)

Schneider may hire teams for their tanker division & also hire new CDL grads.

Lucky you, all these companies have Texas terminals.

Note * System Transport prefers that you download the application from their website, then Fax it to them.

Schneider does hire team drivers, not sure if they'll start new drivers on a team though. The ads I've seen for team drivers usually say 6 mos exp, but they may require that only if they're placing you with another team driver rather than you bringing your own partner (ie, they may have a hard time finding a team partner that would team with a brand new driver).

All it takes is a phone call to find out though.

For teaming, flatbed is not going to be a good fit, new, experienced or otherwise, tanker may offer a bit more "classic" team freight but not much more. The team options that are easiest to get your foot in the door coming in will be van and reefer primarily. Don't let someone try and tell you you can make good money as a team pulling "a lot of regional freight" because it's next to impossible. IMO if the average length of haul does not exceed 1,500 miles, teaming will not be very productive.

However if you're talking about a "super-single" type operation (couples sharing revenue and not needing massive $$'s) where they run the miles of about 1.5 drivers, that opens up many more opportunities for you that offer obtainable expectations.
