I have a question. If my driver's license is suspended but I'm paid all my fines the only thing I didn't do was go to a driving class to get my driver's license back am I still able to take the course and get my driver's license that way or do I need to take a driving course to get my driver's license and then go to school you drive a truck?

CDL school won't (shouldn't) take you without a driver's license. So, you need to do whatever your state requires to get it reinstated first.

Only your state DMV can answer your question. Unless another driver here is from your state and had thecsame situation all anyone can offer is their guess. Before I spent a few thousand dollars I would get an official answer from the DMV.

If I understand your question correctly, you did NOT have a CDL, you had a regular NON-CDL license and it was suspended for something that caused you fines and forced drivers school and you did not do the drivers school.

I can only speculate. We need to know the time frame involved. What was the charge and generally what kind of shape was the driving record in before the suspension. What state do you live in?

I agree with post #3. GO ask DMV.

Depending on the suspension reason.. that is a disqualifying event for getting hired in a lot of companies.. make sure you can even be hired before wasting time and money

Usually, you don’t ever have to take the driving course ever again. You just have to pay the original fee again. Be sure to remember the dates of the suspension...it will come up again.

    Luck in battle.

If the driving school is mandated by your state as punishment you need to go there and get done with it. It's a loss of a evening or two. Compared to bigger penalties including and if incarcerated. But it's enough that you must go to school when required to by the state.

Trucking schools aint it. They will NOT take you if you do not have a CDL and do not have a regular license. And do not have the permit cdl. The state classes will be at a DMV or some convenient location to them to process you and any one else who is also suspended. It's the last step before being revoked. And if you for example had a CDL and revoked the second time its for life in some cases.

Whatever got you to this point has to stop. Go take your medicine in the class and get the license back and go on with your life.
