Hey NewNashGuy, in all my years of trucking I never once went to "Streakin' Beacon". I always had a clean truck(as evidenced by my signature pic of my Pete, in the middle of winter) I knew where there were several 1/4 washes, and I'd drop my wagon and nose the truck in and for $1.50, I'd have a clean truck. Matter of fact, I was known for always having a clean truck. If the roads were dry, I'd rather be late for a delivery(when I had my own truck) than have a dirty truck. Funny story, a friend works for a company that always over did it, when it came to equipment. They had a power washer in the garage that the drivers could use. This thing was the "Binford 9000" of power washers, and it had settings, how hard it would blast. So this one guy wants to wash his truck, turns it up to the max, and peeled the paint off the painted plastic bumper. Man, we laughed about that.![]()

BRB OP, lemme restart my computer cause the pictures just aren't loading for me.....
Sersiuosly how do ya hype us up in the first post and not even throw in one picture...?HalpinUout Thanks this. -
Now get the sander, 400, 800, and 1200 grit paper, the grinder rouge bars and start polishing it. Washing is easy and doesn't take that long polishing is where the real time is spent. If you've got a lot of chrome stainless and aluminum it'll take you all weekend to do a polish job. But that's a once every 6 month deal.

What do you know. Another look at me thread from New Nash guy. Trucks are made to get dirty son.

Give him so credit for this one. He may brag a bit at times but it seems he is a good representation of what many should strive for.
Also soft water makes a huge difference in how easy your truck will clean up and stop water spots. I only use the power washer if I'm muddy. Otherwise it's a sponge and bucketNewNashGuy Thanks this. -
Dude who is about to run up their water bill cleaning a company truck. You go right ahead. I'll pass.
HalpinUout, ramblingman and sherlock510 Thank this. -
