X2. Everyone says your a instigator, but your always spot on in my book. Wonder what that says about me :/ LOL.

So NewNashGuy after 3 yrs of trucking has discovered that he is the best truck driver to ever walk the planet. Even 30 year veterans are trash compared to him. Now,being the best truck driver to walk the planet he's spending all of his money on chrome accessories and washing aforementioned accessories for someone else's truck because he wants to check out his neighbors wives...

Can't wait for his next thread.

OMG, you've got to kidding. I don't want the mods to bounce me, so I'll keep my big mouth shut. NewNashGuy, I think it's great. It shows you have pride in what you do. I had a LEO tell me once, if they see a filthy truck, it is more likely to have mechanical issues. I can't tell you how many times I've noticed things while washing my trucks. Even when I worked for egg and cheese co., I'd come in 10 minutes before I had to, and give the truck a quick wash,(unless the roads were wet) as I felt food should not be delivered in a dirty truck.( and my bosses loved me) When I see a dirty truck, I can only imagine what it looks like on the inside or in their homes. "A DIRTY TRUCK IS A DIRTY SHAME"!

I'm a company driver, I rinse my truck daily (when you haul dry cement its needed) and it gets scrubbed every Friday.

I guess if you work for a bottom feeder, having a clean truck doesn't matter. And we wonder why the industry is looked down upon....

You guys say its a company truck yet I basically live in this truck 24/7 for years. The company also gave me a new truck with a $1000 refrigerator and only five trucks have those and they gave me one of them since they said that I take care of my equipment. If you do what everyone else does you will be another face in the crowd. People like me who put in the extra effort reap the rewards. But middle class mentality will always stay behind. That is OK, that makes people like me shine brighter so please continue doing what you are doing it helps me a lot.

Some people at my job wonder how I get so many great miles and large checks when they sit all day. The little "investments" that I make in myself and in my truck pay off. Since I have been a successful business owner for many years, I noticed when people took the initiative and really cared about their job and I usually promoted them to supervisory positions. You naysayers will never understand that. So keep trying to bash me your weak words will never affect me. I dont blame you, I blame your upbringing.

I can't argue with you! Actually agree with you 100%. Well, maybe not the part about middle class mentality. That's more human nature. Most will not take care of someone's property as they would theirs. Shux, not even when it comes to a baby. You make very good points.

Hi NNG, you don't have to defend your position, I've learned long ago, some people are that way, and you'll never change them. Like I said before, I think it's great what you're doing, and I hung around drivers that did the same thing, we were proud of our clean trucks, and not a day went by, that someone would pass me, and say "nice lookin' Pete". Not that I was looking for that, but it was still nice to hear, none the less. I've heard it said in the factory job world, there are 2 kinds of people when the shift buzzer rang. The kind that would finish the part they are working on, and the kind that will leave the part hanging and take off.

That's OK to keep a clean truck. One company I worked for, a chrome shop called the owner and asked,"Are you aware one of your drivers is here spending several thousand dollars, out of his own pocket, on fancy wheels and tires for a day cab?" The boss called the company the trucks were leased from and they told him, no modifications allowed because the warranty would be void. The driver almost cried, but all the other drivers just stared at him in disbelief. Yep, it really happened.
