Everything went well including the loading from the rail car. Took forever but we knocked it out. My load Friday started out with a flat tire but it got delivered on time, so i can’t complain!

At top pay and on a good account, sounds about right.

Can you all say if A&R would hire a new CDL grad in Houston, TX? I'm going to CDL school at Houston Community College next month and I'm looking to get into regional tanker work in the Houston area. Ideally 5 out > home weekends or even weekly out-and-backs.

If I’m not mistaken, we don’t hire new grads anymore. Need 6ms experience, I got in with 5 1/2

    Texas_hwy_287 and MYSTYKRACER Thank this.

Yea, that's what I've been reading. I'll likely call and talk to a recruiter to make 100% sure but just thought I'd ask since this thread is fresh.

Looks like I might end up going the same route you did w/ Schneider for a year or so and then try to upgrade once I have the requisite experience. Schneider has a pretty good tuition reimbursement plan so it's not all bad, I was just hoping to go right in to regional tanker instead of OTR.

    Thanks for the response!

Go to the terminal and talk to the manager. Your good impression will last. And you’ll get the best advice.

Where are you located? If I had to do it all over again, I would go to a company that does both liquid and dry bulk like trimac or tidewater transit . 2 birds , one stone

    MYSTYKRACER Thanks this.
