Us-70 to 285 south (Roswell Relief Route). It was closed down for a couple years. Just reopened a month ago under the new name "Chisums Travel Center". Have'nt eaten at the restaurant but plan on it. I drive passed there every week and just decided to stop in on a whim only to find it open again

Is that the old Prices Truckstop? I always liked that old place.

Yep. I only started driving like two years ago so it was closed as far back as that. My mentor (ugh) when I was with Swift (ugh) drove through there cuz I was bummed that no trucks were allowed in Roswell. I always wanted to see that place. There was some alien designs on the closed down building when I saw it in 2009

My dad was born and raised there and I lived there for a while in the early 90's....I used to park my truck at Prices.

Thats cool as hell. I know that place is just a tourist trap but I still find that place, and a lot of places in New Mexico, intriguing.

I never thought of it as a tourist trap...I always thought it was kind'a a cool little town.

By the way, My Uncle Max founded the first UFO museum in Roswell in the 90's...He's gone now but he was a cool old guy.

X2! Glad to hear it's back open. Used to stop there every time I delivered in Artesia.

I noticed it was not in the recent truckstop guides. Glad to see its back. I stopped there a lot when I drove for Stevens.
