hey can anybody give me a current update on how bad melton is lol or good i am supposed to go with them at the first of the year i know its rough right now but i was always told....the grass is always greener on the other side of a rough time than it is in the middle of a rough time.

Well, Melton is a flatbed only company, expect a lot of tarping and sweat. If you are laid back (or lazy), this company may not be your best choice. Equipment is top notch, no doubt. You get reimbursed for showers (1 per day) as the company cares about your professional image. The company takes load securement very seriously. They are also intolerant to logbook violatons. Freight is slow right now, but it is mostly due to the season and the whole economy. If you work smart and know how to get a long, you should get over 2800 miles per week during steady season; over 1500 during the slowest month of the year. They will treat you with more respect than any other big company such a Covenant, Werner, US Xpress...etc. My overall experience has been positive.

alot of tarping is right,but at least they pay you descent for it.

All i have ever drove is 10 speed do they give you sometime to get familar with a 13 speed....do you have to take a road test or nethang like that?
