I'm running a lot nursery stock out of the NW with shippers, but getting back to the NW I use brokers, which can be troublesome at times . . .

So I'm looking for new customers in different locations, but don't know where to start. Is this a state secret like the freight rates??

Do any of you know of a subscription service or a list that I could use to garnish reputable, credit worthy, Shipper's?

Each time I use a Broker I wonder what the cut is for them and it kills me - another hand in my pocket.

Sorry to hear that you're having so much trouble finding a "reliable, trustworthy carrier" because there's plenty of them out there. Is it possible that you're shopping for the lowest rate and then hoping for the best when it comes to reliability?

yup, instead of all those customer friendly sayings on the trucks, like "on time, everytime" and the likes...........whoever puts on "were the cheapest and won't be beat" will get the business untill they can't afford to pay there drivers anymore
