They have 48 hour rail service from LA to Jersey. Costs about 25 cents a mile.

OTR is going to go away. And yeah the threat has been there for decades and never happened. But the hiring pool is different now. Folks will take a 60k a year job if they still live at home.

 

Dunno way before my time. I was around drivers as a kid, but mostly they worked at the mine while I was chasing tails and pulling udders.

We're all glad you found a job you're happy with. Now quit telling those of us who like being out on the road for a week at a time and don't no d driving 14 or more hours a day how to do our job or we'll come apply for your job for 2 bucks an hour less than whatever you're getting paid now and that is how it will end up working.
