A lot of blame should be placed on poor management for allowing the window washer to repeatedly be there . This guy wasn't back in the truck lot . He was in the front at the car pumps in clear view of the cashiers and other employees . The manager should have had him removed .

I agree Rick. But I think the question here is. Was the guys pants down? If they were and he is close to my wife OH BOY its on.. If they were not and He is just cleaning the windsheild, Well You know whats a dollar? I know times are tight for all of us, but some loose change could have saved a whole lot here..

It also has to be asked what kind of a man would go inside leaving his girlfriend alone in a threatening situation and what kind of a woman would be stupid enough to stay in the car alone ? If she had gone in with him the tragedy could have been avoided .

That article was so slanted I couldn't stand it. What ever happened to "un-biased" news reporting. I am not interested in reporters opinions. I prefer to read the facts and form my own opinions. I feel sorry for this guy because any reports on this case from here on are going to be slanted as well, and since MANY people these days take the opinion handed to them by the press, he's already starting off in the negative.

Although I never encountered the squeegee guy, I avoid that Pilot like the plague. The couple of times I have stopped there it has been a major PITA; lots of trucks parked in front of the fuel island and scales making what should be a 10-15 minute job extend well into an hour (many of the parked trucks were still there when I left). Then, when I did get scaled the staff seemed more interested in carrying on their own, personal, conversations than in helping customers. So, if there was a problem, I am not surprised management either didn't know or didn't care.

I also thought the newspaper was slanted. I would of liked more information as to what the police saw on the tape (he has been in jail since then, seems there is more to it). As for panhandling in public places, I would question if the management has placed calls before on this man into the police. I encounter several different panhandlers right in front of the different courthouses I work at. It is illegal in many states and yet it is right in front of their faces all the time. Never have I felt scared of the men or ladies. I would also add that I have never been asked for all my money, they tend to ask for spare change, a light or your "left-over" cig butt. It is sad for all parties involved.
