I kinda had a feeling about this. When I’m home I can stand the whole day without any issues. But when I’m in a party with a bunch of people I don’t know my back is killing me by the first hour. I think tense my back too much when I’m nervous.
A trucker’s health, inflamed disk, how do you manages pain OTR?

Stretch your muscles as much as possible. Pull your knees to your chest before you get out of bed. Also work on touching your toes while standing.

With me I tend to get mean when I hurt. And it's really dangerous to be around me. I usually get a elbow jab from my ex when I get onery first then mean later. I excuse myself from anyone or any event or whatever public and go home. I never expose anyone to that where possible. Because they don't understand and it's not necessary to inflict that on them. With a little rest of a adequate time the inflammation is resolved by the body, sometimes about 6 to 14 hours in bed Im ok again for a new day with sunshine inside of me without medicine.
Some days have been really bad and people have been hurt emotionally or what have you. I usually spend some time and effort making amends in some way valuable to them.Ffx95 Thanks this. -
Crazy thing is, I apparently had this issue with my back for more than a decade. I always thought I had really tight calves when really I was tugging on a nerve from my spine. Crazy how the body works
-
Inside your spine is about 5 strands of fishing line plastic like material surrounded by fluid and special fat. If all is in order your legs run perfectly no tingling, numb or dragging.
That is the problem for some. Once you start dragging your foot literally, that means the pressure against that leg's main command pathway is too much and the nerve itself is dying by necrosis between the pressure of your failing disks. Smash. Sooner or later you do not have a leg that works anymore.
That is why sometimes people undergo a surgery process that takes the offending disk, snapped in half broken and the offending half disk is removed permanently leaving you with a weight lift restriction equal to a gallon of milk for life. But you will have use of that leg permanently more or less. -
I had degenerated disc and bulged disc so I got them surgically fused. Pain gone, 10' tall and bullet proof again!!! -
I celebrate you Jazz1
I am the same way with the brand new joint installed in the leg. I feel like i can march a thousand miles today.Swift007 Thanks this. -

Must be a bulging disc. This is precedent to a herniated ( ruptured) disc. I’ve had 3 herniated discs. 1 healed on its own. I didn’t know that was even possible. 1 was removed 20 yrs ago due to excruciating sciatica it had to be done. Not a big deal if done by a neuro surgeon. If nerve is left pinched too long you risk permanent damage. Physical therapy does work. Especially with a bulging disc. Along with ice to shrink swelling. Proper exercises learned in therapy saved Me. They can be done in bunk. Listen to DR recommendations. At least learn the best exercises at therapy and You can do them regularly and might avoid herniated disc and possible surgery. The pain will let you know. Once it goes down your leg you’re in trouble. It’s a very common problem but can be dealt with
