I'm doing a report on truckers and wanted to get some help. Could anyone tell me what trucking companies move what name brand products? How many different companies does one trucking company typically work for?
Thanks.

any thing and every thing you have. that is drive, eat, wear, cook with, clean with, name brand products to dollar store knock offs, is brought to your local market weather it is the magamart or walmart by a truck.

I meant which company delivers what? I know the types of things that are carried, but I want to know some specific examples for different trucking companies.
Thanks again. -
most companies will haul anything that will fit in the 53" box behind the truck,
flatbed will haul anything that will not fit in the box
refer will haul anything that needs to be heep cold or anything that will fit
i know it's not much help but we pull a 53" dry van so we will haul almost anything that will fit inside it. beer, soda, cat letter, tp, auto parts, cell tower....? -
Loads are pretty much all moved by the "I have this load going here paying this, who wants it?" system. Whoever goes after it gets it.

I think he wants to know what truck companies haul which product, such as does USX haul Sony TV's and does Schneider haul La-Z-Boy chairs etc. For security reasons, no one should say. Why should you have knowledge that USX hauls Sony TV's ? If in fact they did haul Sony TV'S.
outerspacehillbilly Thanks this. -
I agree. He may not undertand, but what he wants us to do is paint a picture where we say that one company hauls high value loads, one hauls sneakers, the other hauls cell phones.
Harmless enough at first thought, but with that guidance, thieves would have a little more info than what they get when they pay off teh shipping clerk, or have an insider.
Most main carriers haul DRY FREIGHT, which is pretty much anything from cereal, to scrap paper, to store inventory items. -
No way of knowing what companies are hauling unless you are the driver. I ran for a refrigerated company and on multiple occasions picked up loads of flat screen tv's and computers for best buy. Sometimes even the driver doesn't know what they are hauling. So with that said unless you are Superman and can see through walls you have no way of knowing who hauls what.

Toyota Logistics haul Toyotas.

If my reefer quits running, sometimes you can guess what's in there by the smell.
