Buses and anything with less than 4 wheels, I don't want to be anywhere close to them.

My thinking, and I'm not justifying just playing devil's advocate, is that she called her dispatcher (on the cellphone, while moving of course) who probably put a higher priority on removing kids from the accident scene than sticking around.

I don't know how many kids were still on the bus or how dangerous the road they were on was but they probably decided having kids sitting on the side of the road while the driver gets cited was more dangerous (to the kids).

As a county/city/district school bus driver it's not like they aren't going to find her. In court it'll be the truck's lawyers vs. the bus company's lawyers and whatever accident reconstruction data the police can provide.

Right or wrong sadly has little bearing on which party brings the better attorney to court.

    Speaking of which,,,,

You do realize out of context that sounds slightly pedophilic right?

In this crazy world they might put you on a Megan's law watch list for that.

This makes sense what you are saying about the bus driver. No one else provided this perspective. Instead of the bus driver showing the children what she caused. Get them home safely.
What bothers me is you are brilliant enough to say this but than you follow with.

    I was busting Lepton's chops.

You might want to edit your quotes, it took me a minute to realize what you were referring to.

Oh my bad, didn't realize that. But I like the conclusion you provided about the bus driver. Seems like if she would have stopped it would make matters wose. Not to be sympathetic for her but it could make a bad decision even worse.

Good job, Driver. Sorry for the truck.

Reminds me of a School Bus mechanic friend of mine who had a vehicle safety saying,
"We're not haulin' coal, we're haulin' kids."
