That largely depends on the state. I had a similar type of accident in Mississippi. Guy was speeding and ran a light, trying to beat me through the intersection. But he clipped me and ended up rolling a few times. He admitted fault to the police and after chattong with thwm I was free to go. The accident isn't on my MVR or my PSP.

If the truck driver was at fault we would all be saying he got what he deserved or that he should rot in prison... But when the car driver is at fault you expect us to pity them??? That sounds like mainstream media crap! "Oh the big bad truck destroyed my car"... I can already see how sone journalists (if you can call them that) would try to spin this.

IT WAS THE CAR DRIVERS OWN #### FAULT, AND THEY GOT WHAT THEY DESERVE. Glad they survived, but I do NOT feel sorry for them. And there were no passengers for me to feel sorry for, either.

Yup and the truck driver has to go take a drug test. Similar circumstances to me once. Drug test and alcohol test. Was off 30 days or more getting another truck..called in for dispatch when i was ready to roll..had to take another drug test. Bet the car driver that caused the fiasco didn't take one. Its bull###.
