They are all Diamond T’s. That is the early 60’s diamond with the triple streak chrome hood trim. Mid 1958 thru ‘66 used the Autocar/ White corp. cab. The b&w pic shows the International Harvester cab used in the ‘50-58’s

Ya, just a little west of Branson. Been here 2 years now. Born/lived in Napa for 60 years but California got to be too much of a joke for us.

This one isn't really vintage as it has just been restored for the owner of the company I drive for. Just setting in it brought back a ton of memories. 20200928_131926.jpg 20200928_131937.jpg 20200928_132241.jpg

As of now I only know it's a big Cam 400 and a 13 speed. I pass on the rest when I talk to the guy that built it.

In 1974, I started working for a tanker outfit in Santa Maria, CA. Crude oil, gas, diesel, naptha, asphalt. In the 4 years I was there, there was at least 16 new KWs and a few Petes come into the fleet. I got to drive 3 of the new KWs on the 1st load. I was pretty young and the boss liked to piss off the older drivers by sending a " 22 year old kid" out on the new truck. But thats not where I'm going with this. Those trucks were such a joy to drive, because you DROVE them, no power steering, a steel rod connecting the throttle to the pump, and a dashboard with guages that could be seen day or night. They were so much better than the old trucks. But we did not know at the time what a joy they were compared to the pieces of shot out here now. The 72s thru the 82s were KWs greatest years, IMO, and thats all I have to say about that. Heres a 72 I've posted before, I drove for some time, a very nice truck to drive. #12.jpg
