    No, I believe this was offered by Mack as an option. Reason for the square grill, I read, some of these were Cummins powered needing a bigger radiator.

    You are right about the LJ cab option on the B73, B75 and B77. Side by side the Mack diesel and Cummins NH are pretty much the same size in dimensions. They both started out as 672 cids. So radiator and hood sizes wouldn't matter. The hoods were different more towards the rear to mate up with the different style and wider cab.
