Look here i believe your the same driver as derailed! Anyways! Yes they pay percentage of the load. But i quarantee this abenaqui carriers is above board and they do not play with the driver rates. Further more they have an open policy. Meaning if you the driver have a question regarding frieght rates or what is billed, they want to know. There feeling is maybe it was billed wrong and lets get it fixed for everyone involved. I have been employed at Abenaqui Carriers/ P.S. Marsten Inc/ Marco Petroleum for a long time (8+ years). And they have always been very up front and honest with us drivers. Especially through this hard economy. But with regards to your posting. Of course they want more payload, thats how abenaqui gets paid, by the gallon. But they have us load legal loads that are hauled. Another thing, the reason you call from the terminal is to many drivers were loading the wrong product or gallons, and sometimes under the wrong account. Which then cost the abenaqui thousands of dollars. So to fix that, the abnaqui said to its drivers they need to call before loading to confirm the information. Plus if at all possible dispatch will verify that the loads will fit. You do get paid delay if you document all your delay with complete reasons and time. And what company could you work for, that would allow you to call there customers directly. Another thing, abenaqui does not actually route the trucks. You the driver actually route yourself, so then maybe you routed yourself through the heavy traffic. Regarding long hours hours, not sure how that is. Since abenaqui carriers runs on board computers that keeps track of the drivers hours of service. So why would they want run the driver in violation and potential put the driver. And abenaqui has been verify flexible with the drivers when it comes to personal reasons and availability. And they dont really preasure you to work, but they expect you to be here. And they are right. They might start u out with specific stops to begin with as a new driver. But they will move you to over customers as you progess along and demonstrate your ability. You seem to be a driver thats either disfunctional and not understand the petroleum industry, maybe work as a rogue driver and not follow rules. Or sad to say was fired or let go and you are disgruntal so you making it worst for the rest of us who like working here and enjoy the company. And i find it interesting that looking into your past abenaqui was the only bad place you ever worked! Strange! One last thing, if a person wants to make a good pay check here, most of us in the petrol. Industry understand and here at abenaqui know work the weekends 3-4 shifts, days or nights throught out the weekend. For example; (thurs-sun) or (fri-sun) or (fri-mon), and again days or nights. It is proven time and again, depending upon how many shifts you work per weekend, that a driver can make up too $800-$1200 +/- a week and again yes its working the weekends. But many drivers start out saying yes then they suddenly want a change and thats were it is tough. And abenaqui even hires part timers as well. But they very run legal, even through the hos exemption. Abenaqui worked to what they exemption allowed and only allowed for the last 2 months.

Yes, and I typed this and no I am not the same driver as kniteranger, never even cared for the band and really dont even know anyone who lives in Maine. Closest I ever came was leasing to P&H 1 year. Oh and they call me Derailed.

Well thats cool! I quess its amazing that when i try to look further into kniteranger postings it just forwards me automatically to derailed! So by simple and common deduction of proof in the pudding. It demonstrates to me that your both in the same! That's all, but then maybe i am wrong and i have never try to say that i am tech geek in all. So then i would apologize if i am wrong, if i am wrong! But i dont think so, am i!

Your correct mack e-6 in what your saying here! To add even more to what you were trying to say, that fabricating the facts for publication on a public site like the trucker forum were honest people are both looking for employment and honest people have employment. Is completely wrong and, disrespectful to your fellow drivers, slanderous, and down right dirty pool. Especially if you were in the wrong, inexperience, made mistakes, and just was not a team player. But i do agree with mack e6 with his thinking.
