    Boy Howdey,

With all the year's you have with ABF are you on the extra board by choice? I would think you would have a set bid?

Ya because the bids I can hold are decent schedules but not big money makers. I usually run the extra board in the summer then run a L.A. Basin bid in the winter.
There are bids that make good money but I don't have enough seniority to hold them yet. I have 9 years in with ABF.

Thanks for the info Boy Hawdey. It looks like they shut down the terminal near me and the next closest one is over a hour away in a less than desirable location. Might be a good time to relocate if I can get on with them though.

Sonoma County. There was a terminal in Santa Rosa, but its not listed on their website anymore. The next closest one is in Oakland which I would rather not work out of. Sacramento is about a 2 hour drive so that's not really a option either. I was thinking about maybe moving to Oregon/Washington, or maybe Nevada but I don't really want to be in a state that pulls triples. Arizona is also a option but its a little too hot for my tastes.

I didn't know Santa Rosa shut down. We also have a terminal in San Jose.

The only Nevada locations are Reno and Vegas. Triples aren't that bad.

I've never been north of Sacramento with ABF.

Don't quote me on Santa Rosa shutting down. I just noticed that it's not listed as a terminal on their website anymore so I'm just assuming. I haven't gone to check it out yet, but I should be around that area this week so I'll get back to you on that one.

Oakland is really not that bad when your working and doing your job. Anyway the abf terminal in oakland is in one of the industrial parts of town, your car would probably be pretty safe. Sonoma county would one hell of a commute though

    Apd Thanks this.

Yeah the commute would be brutal. Especially with all of the road work going on up in my neck of the woods. I guess doing line haul out of Oakland wouldn't be too bad if I move a little closer to Oakland.
