ABF Checker/Driver + Dock/P&D vs ABF over the road??? What's better?

4 on 3 off is a thing at South Chicago,IL for certain P&D drivers...

 

And how do they expect to get drivers with that? "new" as new and improved?

 

ABF has always been slow on the hiring process. I have no idea why.

2 years for 1 week? How ling does it take to make rate?

 

90% for the first year, then full rate

 

But, that includes a 7% pay cut first year of the contract. Although we get a 2% raise every year the next 3 years and 2.5% the fifth year of the contract.

 

I been through the paycuts when I worked for roadway. At least they still pay into the pension.
