Can someone give me some info on their part time city/dock position? Such as how many hours a part timer gets, first one to get laid off, how long does it usually take to be able to get full time, would I be on the dock 90% of the time and only drive very little, am I on an extra board, guessing no union for part timer? Or would they work me full time hours sometimes and hardly at all at other times? Sorry for all the questions
Abf part time city/dock

Most, if not all, of your questions are wholly dependent upon the terminal/barn you are hired at. Especially the moving up to full time part, will all depend on how much they need you. Some "part-time" guys work more than the full-time guys, in short staffed locations
Giuseppe Ventolucci, realdesertkickin and chrism1367 Thank this. -
Thanks i kind of figured it may depend on location. Well if it matters it's in Kent ohio. Also starting school next week, currently have class b hazmat tanker 1.5 years. Should have class a mid late june

My town has a million people and the TM told me, "I cant gurantee you 8 hours or that you'll get full time in the next 2 years"
I couldnt do it...too far in life, too many bills...lolGiuseppe Ventolucci Thanks this. -
