Abilene Experience

I picked up my load Sat mid day at the yard and ran down to South Hill took my 10 and then ran down to Columbus Ga Sunday. Load delivers 8am in Fl tuesday. Only 276 mi. I would have usually been less than pleased with this but I am under the weather. Not feeling good. This runa atleast lets me rest. I got to the destination in Niceville yesterday at 2pm thinking i would have to park and del in morning. Heck they unloaded me then! Back up to Montgomery for the night. Cant pick up my load in Birmingham until 2pm today. Waiting at the hook...1.5 hrs away. Dont want to start my clock yet.

 

Getting loaded in AL headed to VA and then hometime. Weather is awesome!

 

Hit my two deliveries in Dublin VA and went to Wytheville and grabbed a trailer full of sports drinks and delivered to fredericksburg. Ran what i call "favors" two trailers from Sabra out to drivers for swaps. Made it home! Hometime! Right on schedule. Rare that I have been hung out there and had to adjust hometime. Tried to get new rubber on my drives as they are getting bald. We'll see when i get back. Have a great weekend all!

 

A good number of our drivers live in Tidewater so no sweat. Hometime was great, bought a suv just have to title and tag it next time im home. Picked up my BH painted reefer full of hummus and headed to Lakeland FL. Delivery is 7pm sunday night. Drove to Loves in Brunswick and now am hanging out until around 1:30ish and i will run the 258 miles left and deliver it. I will try to get there around 6 or 6:15 just in case I-4 is torn up. Its been a couple months since i have been thru Orlando.

When I was with VAE this Loves in Brunswick was nice, now its a dump/ghostown. I ate at the SteaknShake here and it sucked. Used to be one of my favorites. Should have gone to that new Pilot at exit 1 in St.Marys... That is an awesome stop as far as the inside of the store. Its their new model store with all kinds of edibles!
I got to hit a Wallyworld and get groceries..down to pringles, cheesestix, 2 diet pepsi's and a plate of chocchip cookies my xwife made me?

 

They are good! Might give me the trots though !
