Interesting Brin. I was a dispatcher between 1998-2001 for Harold and Vince Groome with Groome Transportation down at the Norfolk Airport. I was let go after 9/11 due to slow traffic and losing the airport shuttle contract to another limo company. Then, worked for Waste Management between 2001 and this past February 2013 as they centralized dispatch to Columbia MD. Birds of a feather.......good blog man.

I know that fam very well! Too funny. Chris and I used to race dirt bikes and jeeps all around central VA. Look forward to meeting you and have fun with Johnboy out there!

Well had to turn down a run to Denver last night. I got into Richmond and had the time to run it there but I start teaming Monday and with only 26 left on my clock i would be getting back later in the week. I hate that! Then I saw the weather and thought about my my barely legal drive tires and said oh well. So ran down to chesapeake and grabbed a load to drop in Richmond. Gave me the 200 odd miles I needed to get me to 3000 mi for the pay period and went home for the weekend. Got to surprise my daughter so its all worth it. Be safe out there!

Oh and B-rad is cool. He was the biggest dork as a kid but he always had a great attitude. My younger brother and him were buddies. We all grew up in the same neighborhood way out in the sticks.

Actually was painless. They were amazingly efficient. Titled and tagged my new ride then ran it to a decent carwash which ripped the drivers side mirror off! What a day! Nothing like black duct tape. I will pull one off of one in the junkyard next time I'm home.

Started teaming yesterday. We did get the KW. Overall i can honestly say I want my Volvo back! It is tight but its only for a couple weeks then Terry can keep it! First stop Traverse City, MI. I ran from Richmond to Perrysburg and Terry took the last 280mi. Destination completely i ed and snowed in and NO DOCK! 43000lbs of laminated flooring taken off woth a forklift and a portable ramp in an ice storm. On the way a pickup truck dumped a load of logs to be split in front of us at 40mph and the KW gobble one up. It was dragged miles until he found it at destination. Did a lil damage under the front fairing and rode along the axle. We have to deadhead to Murray KY then to lanexa, KS the batcave. Now we have to get to a TA to get an airleak fixed on the KW.
