Took over yesterday at the Sawyer TA after air line repair and ran down to Murray KY and then ran out of hrs about 30 mi from STL and gave it to Terry. Wind was horrible after 8hrs of rest I had Popeye/ T-Rex arms in the morning. It was gusting bad to and from KY. All the way down there with an empty 53' sail...We delivered our 2 stops in Lenexa KS. Looks like we are headed to TX to rescue a load. Waiting to find out the details.

Got back to AMXRich and grabbed a hummus run drove to Nashville and gave it over to Terry and zonked out. Showered up at the hook in Russellville...Terry is going to run it for 2hrs more. Still getting used to the qcomm as a team. If i log 8 in the sleeper then come out and go Off Duty it will switch to OnDuty after 2 hrs. I assume thats a built in default. First time it happened it caused a bit of a scramble in ol 1446!! All good though!

I loaded there twice in a week. Once was a live load, the other was a D/H. The live load took just as long to get the paperwork as it did to load.

I hear you. But icing on the cake was hooking up to my load with ppwk in hand... Pretripped the reefer...one tire completely off the rim. Now sitting in their bullpen waiting for a tire tech. and I was wrong on my earlier post...we definitely will not make the 40 odd hour trip in time for a 0003 delivery appt. on Tuesday...In my old age (38) i forgot Nov only has 30 days.

The Colton DC wasnt bad except for the tire and the truck backing rodeo show in the bullpen was well worth it! Tons of what I assumed were CR England trainees trying to blindside when it was completely unnecessary! At least I pray they were trainees...Lord help us all if they were not!

We made it back east yesterday and stopped by Wythville and I met those folks. Much more accessible and open to face to face talk than Richmond. I was impressed and liked everyone. Stopped for the night at the Flying J Mebane NC. I had 0hrs to drive yesterday and picked up 10 at midnight. Because of our hours we had to sit and actually deliver today. I tossed and turned and chewed ibuprofen. I volunteered to sleep up top. I should have taken my sleeping bag into the tv lounge instead!!!i am hurting!
We will be splitting up at the end of the week and Terry can keep this thing! Give me back my Volvo!!!
i am a nonsmoker and my codriver smokes but he respects that and all. We were both proven solo drivers so when we met up the first time we discussed the whole smoking thing and its been tolerable. I will have to let Sally know I will only take nonsmoker trainees though. Nothing against my codriver, its my choice or I can not train and stay solo. It is what it is!

What's even more comical is when these "drivers" leave the DC and make the right onto Barton Rd thinking they are pulling a 42ft trailer.
