Ur a good guy, U take the overnite loaded miles and let JB have the empty daylite shiftMidWest_MacDaddy and chralb Thank this. -
Lol .. if only it were that simple. But it's all about end soon. We'll be headed back to Richmond soon where John will be headed for his cruise and me into a truck for solo duty. Figure it'll feel like a vacation compared with the past 2-1/2 weeks.
I'll have 2 days hometime to regroup and get my things in the truck. Step 2 about to commence.
Friend, WotansVolkman, MidWest_MacDaddy and 3 others Thank this. -
U have showed U can do the driving part (if U have the QC down) , now just the matter of Ur own ride and Dispatch giving U the miles
Probably seem like Ur slacking no matter how many miles U get after the whirlwind of the past few weeks
Good luck and safe travelsFriend and MidWest_MacDaddy Thank this. -
Well, when I was in training and trying to tie out what I was paid, I was left with the impression from Accounting that we were more or less paid weekly... So when I was deducting my days off and wasn't tying out that was maybe part of the problem...
So this Bean Counter with 25+ years of experience just tossed in the towel... LOL
So I have no idea what the heck they do inside that building... LOL
So I guess, your mileage may vary.

Ain't it just Pure OMG Awesomess some days??? You hit those kind of days and suddenly the not so fun days aren't so bad.

Sir, with all due Respect, and trust me that is A LOT, when I said "they" I meant to be implying Operations NOT the Driver Trainers!!!
Please accept my most sincere apology for any confusion that my statement created.
I will certainly defend most of our Trainers here at Abilene, especially those that contribute to this thread, against such accusations of milking it at the cost of the Trainees time.
Now, I do have my personal, rather negative, opinion about the Training Program, some of the Trainers, and how/why things happen INSIDE that building, based on my personal experiences, but I assure you that has never been my view of anyone on this thread.
Again, my most sincere apology Sir.
Respectfully, MD
PS since going Solo my views in general about Abilebe are very positive, sans the normal issues that we have listed here many times.
Friend Thanks this. -
@JohnBoy
I am curious about over what period of time?
You have like three in a row that have been trained by you and are still here, I think. Are you saying like before six months or a year they are gone? Just curious.
Ok, I know we are still not sure about your current trainee... but I tossed him in too.
JohnBoy Thanks this. -
Or the quality of the drivers that are attracted to Trucking... Or their expectations of a career in trucking.
Maybe just a lot of folks just are not cut out for such a career or lifestyle.Friend and 4mer trucker Thank this.
