Save your money if you haven't already bought an atlas. You can have mine if you start here. I haven't opened it since I was on the trainer's truck and even then I only did it so he would think I knew what I was doing.
The GPS can run you around in circles so thats when google maps comes out to double check the gps routing.
Of course you shouldn't use google maps to navigate as that is not truck specific but its great for checking out the roads before you get to your destination.

My "missing" trailer wasn't due to hp (wasn't even their load) or a local driver.
I was given the wrong trailer number in the load instructions.
Not even gps trailer tracking I wish we had would have been any use.
I am now at the consignee waiting until appt tomorrow morning and no-one is going to believe this as I still don't believe it myself...
I got a pre-plan!!!.
Picks up at the same consignee I am delivering to.
Yeah, I know, too good to be true. I won't believe it either until I am loaded and actually make it off their property. -
I checked in there too. I drove around the yard so many times the QC clicked over to driving.
Luckily I drove off duty earlier in the day so it used up my off duty drive clock rather than start my 14.MidWest_MacDaddy Thanks this. -
You can do that???

(Actually, I used CoPilot for several months before recently getting a RM730 GPS... So I have access to five route options, sometimes I like the RM and sometimes I prefer the CP. Its nice to have a few options.) -
Getting empty here in London KY. Last time I got empty on a Sunday here it was a dead head back Richmond. We shall see.
MidWest_MacDaddy and 4mer trucker Thank this. -
Actually, for the first time in the last year, I think I would have actually opened an Atlas... Heading to a Broker pickup inside Atlanta... Saw several roads that were no trucks allowed... I was like 3-4 blocks from where I needed to be and selected a street without a no trucks sign... A block down the street, yep, Atlanta's Finest rolled up beside me... Seems he wasn't too happy with me... I respectfully explained what I was trying to do and that this street didn't have a sign on it, etc... He proceeded to chew on my ear a bit and then told me to get on down the road, but don't exit this way...
Whew... Missed a ticket there for sure.
(How much is a ticket like that anyway?) -
It will be a dropped mic moment when Google maps releases a version that allows for vehicle size and weight restriction options.
Ebay and craigslist will be flooded with gps units going for a song.tlopez99 Thanks this. -
i had a similar one... HP input the wrong trailer number once... Back and forth twice before talking to HP Shipping to get more details.
PrePlanned eh? Watch, pick it up in the morning only to swap out two hours later. lol -
Sitting west of Nashville, have a morning apt in Memphis, than hopefully a Reno load with my name on it.
MidWest_MacDaddy and Redtwin Thank this. -
Its heading back to VA so I bet I get to keep it. Someone is nervous about me being this far west. They want me back on the east coast quickly before I start getting any ideas.
MidWest_MacDaddy, Friend and Finfn1372 Thank this.
