Was not me. I bent the rail that the pins lock into on a refer. I had to call road service. But, that trailer was just not properly maintained. But, I still had to write an accident report on it. My first brush with Scott. ((shudder))

    MidWest_MacDaddy Thanks this.

Got to just west of Atlanta to feel safe(ha ha) to stop for the night at a Flying J. Showered and chillin. I don't have to be in Hattiesburg until 1pm central tomorrow. So, we get to sleep late. (LOL...yea, right.)

Then, have to scat to San Antonio. No hard time for that delivery. I "think" this consignee is a 24 hour place. I've delivered to them in Plano and Austin before. Nice guys. But, I'll endeavor to get there ASAP on the 5th. Then get one more over weekend run before my doctor's appt in N. Texas on the 9th. (hopehopehope)

Delivered fine this am... Got a broker load. No problem until I arrived at the shipper. It's a paper mill. I check in and am told product isn't ready, they'll call me. 5hrs 27mins later I call afraid I missed a call or it didn't go through or something. Same thing. Product not ready..then she says (this is the best part) that size hasn't even been ran yet.
So, here I am, broken hearted. Just another wonderful day of the broker shuffle.

Well back at the yard waiting for local to bring me some boarshead bound for brooklyn

So about givens....@RebelChick was right. They have their stuff together. Had a couple conversations with city dispatch reference finishing up broker load, getting givens, amd getting back to yard with the 14 shrinking. Creativity helped, but i was only there for 1:06 for a full live load, which included figuring out where to go and waiting for the gate to open etc.

This morning was bad. Got a load to a shop rite in new jersey. 5 am on time. Took me an hour to back into a dock made for 48's and a day cab  by far the most difficult backing I have done. No pullup room whatsoever. Dumpsters in the way. The guard rail has a huge dent in it from what I assume another truck hitting it lol 20160804_063010.jpg 20160804_062926_001.jpg 20160804_062852.jpg 20160804_065221.jpg

Main thing is you didn't hit anything!! Gotta wonder who designs these docks sometimes and how they probably sit back and say..can't wait to see these yahoos try and get it in there lol

What the store personnel usually say is, "What's the problem driver, no one else has any problem backing in there.."

Then they say,"Haven't been driving long have you?"
We have to keep it in perspective; most grocery store workers are the misfits from the local community.
