Abilene Motor Express....A New Place To Call Home

Interesting first day. After droping that HP load at Damco in Conley, GA (559 miles) I had to hook an MT and bring it to Havertys (54 miles) drop it at dock 107, hook and MT reefer and haul but to Cloverleaf Cold Storage here in Sanford, NC (321miles MT), at dock now almost done loading (about 40 minutes) and take it to Forrest City Boarshead (774 miles) for tomorrow drop. Yee haw!!!

Apparently one of our drivers was here for this last night but left out of hours. Rescue mission.

Well, another bonus....

Just ran into @Redtwin in the drivers lounge... He overheard @Flattie C call me Daddy earlier today so he ventured a "hey, are you..."

So the "benefits" of hanging out on the yard continue to pile up... it was awesome to meet another of our little TTR group!!!

And, since it looks like I might be driving vampire to drop this load on time, if/when it's ready, this driver is going to grab a few Zs before then.

Man I'm starting to feel a little left out,only met johnboy,ran into flattiec but didn't introduce myself

 

I have probably passed you at the yard, but it's hard to know who anyone is and you can't exactly start asking random people if they are on the forum etc. Apart from coming across as weird, there may be some who participate here but don't want to be identified in person.

 

Any of you guys or gals have a clue of where we pu when in Tx,will be just above Ft.Worth.

 

Made it Waynesville NC. ETA for Forrest City 11:30am tomorrow. Now I'm FINALLY gonna sit at my table, eat a meal, do my first Trans Flo and then get to setting up this truck! CB, XM radio ... etc ... etc.
