Thats comforting to know. There are companies out there that will pay you miles for a route they know you can't travel on and claim its HHG miles. So glad Abilene doesn't do that. Just 4 more weeks togo till I get there. Thanks again!

Just got back to the yard. George packed up his belongings and left already. My load home will be in around 7pm. It delivers in West Palm 7am Wednesday morning. I'll be home tomorrow around 5pm. Right now my truck is getting her first servicing. After 31,275 miles the fuel filter is definitely due to be changed. I'll be done and headed home by 9pm. Shower time then some dinner.

Weeble Kneeble and Lonesome Thank this.

Freebird check the other Abilene blog for your answers. The "From Day One" column. Did not know you posted this question on both.

Got home last night about 6pm. Boy was it great to see my wife waiting for me. This training sure takes it toll on ones nerves, which leads to lack of sleep. George is progressing, which is rewarding for me, I'd hate to put myself through this and see no progress.

Walked into the house and was greeted by my 4 kids, (dogs). What a feeling, scratch the 4 heads, give them a treat and I have friends for life. I left the house st 6:15 was at the door at Costco at 6:45 and am now on my way back to the house to fulfill my husbandly duties. (The honey do list, what were you thinking?)

Glad you made it home safely, Johnboy. Kiss the wife and pet the doggies for me too. Would love another drive-by to your place. Your wife is great and the doggies even better.

Taking care of that honey do list. Right now I'm getting ready to go to the DMV and renew my CDL. Thank God I only have to do this once every 5 years. To make my life a little easier I'm dropping my hazmat, tanker, doubles & triples endorsements and I'm not renewing my TWIC card. I haven't needed any one of those endorsements in the last 5 years and the TWIC card was last used 2 years ago.
