Well got my license renewed today. Was at the DMV at 6:30. When they opened at 8am there was about 75 people behind me. I was done at 9am and home at 9:15. I called into dispatch to let them know the paint on the new truck I'm driving is starting to fade because of being in the sun without moving for the last week. Let's see how long it takes today to get me and my new license rolling.

    YardDart and Lonesome Thank this.

Glad to see that you got your license renewed finally.

Need to stop and get that truck washed and waxed so we can have it all shined up for the snow.

My truck is fading cause it is an 07 model and I don't know how many drivers has been in it. I do know that the wash guy is worthless as tits on a boar hog when it comes to doing his job. Wish the company would let us get them washed at a Blue Beacon at least once or twice a month but hey it is what it is. When the new trucks start rolling in maybe I will be nice and get it washed myself just to get a decent job done.

    JohnBoy Thanks this.

Back in the day I would have waxed it, but at this stage(age), I'll just get it washed and clean the inside.

    FLATBED and popcorn169 Thank this.

Sitting here in Lawrenceville Ga getting loaded. I called into dispatch after I got home yesterday to see if I was off the forgotten list, I wasn't, so I told Tim I was taking my wife out to lunch and if the load planners found out my truck was available to load that by all means give me a call. As we were walking into the restaurant my phone rang. It was Tim telling me they got me a load. I sarcastically asked him if they were done loading trucks around me. He chuckled but I was dead serious.

I needed to be up here at 11am this morning, got here at 10 and am just about loaded. The load is going to Aberdeen Md, but I'm only taking it to the yard in Richmond. I'll be there about 8pm tonight, get my truck serviced in the morning which I didn't do last week, throw George in the truck then head to California. I'm staying out until the 11th, mine and my daughters birthday is on the 13th, my anniversary is the 14th so I want to be home for those days. My little girl is going to be 24. Boy am I getting old.

JB just kidding with you about the wax job :)

Had the mother of a new young driver call me about him soaking a set of KW floor mats in her bath tub last week , he took the truck home to stock it up and tidy up the inside

Soaking ones floor mats in the bathtub makes me think that driver will take care of your investment. At least I would.

Maybe I will finally get to meet you. I will be in the shop tonight as well. Cold cracked my windshield more and my ambient temperature sensor tells me it's 40 degrees when it's 0 degrees so my truck won't idle. And a fog light replacement that's been way overdue. (Like a month!)
