2 physicals ago, some doctor at the clinic we were using ordered a sleep study on me, only because of neck size. $1800.00 later, it showed I DID NOT have it. It was only one night. We use a different clinic these days, it hasn't been an issue with these doctors.

 

The bs part about the sleep apnea test is how they determine it. They use the old height and weight chart that is way outdated. Take me for example, Im 6'2" and weigh 256lbs, I go to the gym and play soccer on a daily basis and highly athletic and only have 16% body fat, yet according to the chart Im "obese" which triggers getting tested. That dumb chart will get a lot of big ppl tested that dnt need the machine and let skinny ppl that do need one get away without one. They need to come up with a better way to do it. I know I dnt have sleep apnea, I do have insomnia though which is documented in my medical records at the VA thanks to my time in the big sand box overseas.

 

Do away with these senseless HOS rules as well. How on Earth can you legislate sleep into a one size fits all set of rules?

I only need 3 to 4 hours a day. I'm at my best and most alert the first hour I wake up. I have to wait a good 4 to 6 hours after I stop for the day to go to sleep so I wake up when it's time to go. If I sleep as soon as I'm done and wake up 4 to 6 hours before this stupid electronic secretary says I can go, I'm tired sitting that long.

They want you on your back because you are more likely to have issues while on your back... I would automatically fail ... But if I'm taking a sleeping test I'm taking it the way I actually sleep.... Face Down... LOL

I escaped the test this round... My wife has a CPAP so I convinced him we knew what to look for because she has one... LOL

 

Well I don't have a sleeping disorder... So I'll take the test stomach, back or toilet. Don't matter

 

Ya, either of them might let you park there especially if it's a small town setting... And if the Kmart is closed the only one that might care are the actual property owners who are more than likely off site... Might want to touch base with your local Barney Fife so they know who is parking on the closed store lot.

Maybe check other industrial businesses too... Someone told me to look into the local airport as they have lots of space around them and likely not very busy in a smaller location.
