Ok folks... I'm thinking I'm not the only chatty one in this group... Just saying!!!

    My story will be short;

That blonde chick that was stalking me in Richmond has now followed me to Wytheville.

Helped an Asian Driver, who could say thank you in English, get his trailer tandems out of a ditch passed the Flyin J at I77/81 X80. He went down the road that doesn't go into the J and didn't go to the end where the turn around is located... Instead he attempted to back into a small dirt lane to turn around and dropped his trailer into the ditch.

He now knows how to lock his drive tires.

Sitting in Wintersville for someone to tell me what to do with my last four hours on the clock. I called earlier to ask if they would have something or just let me sit until morning as I was fine with either... They said they would have something but here I sit... Will be parked for the night here soon... LOL

    Stay Safe

Yea, I've had no luck getting much of anything on weekends. I've called and called. Jo has tried for me, but no luck. Oh, well.

Ya, and it's been a bit slower than normal lately too... I just wish when a Driver calls in, me, and says he's find running or sitting just let me know, that they would just do that. Instead of saying we'll have a load for you then leave you sitting and wondering. I would have gladly found a spot for the night instead of waiting for something that's not coming.

Oh well, parked at the little Rest Area but the Dam on Rt 22 for the night... Puppy and I will enjoy walking the lake on a nice sunny Sunday morning if nothing else.

That will be fairly relaxing and enjoyable.

LOL ... sooooo ... to recap my wonderful sunrise, ocean view day. After 3 hours at Malano, security got in my face about getting off the property since I wasn't "doing anything". Funny, I thought we were all trying to figure out how THEY screwed the pooch on that load? Silly me. Apparently it was never figured out and the mission scrubbed. So I sent a QC to dispatch telling them everything and that I was bobtailing to the Pilot in Hesperia to call it a day.

Not 5 minutes after I get there and looking for that shower, Jo calls me and says there's a trailer at WA6907 in Colton that apparently has no driver attached and they won't load it without one. She asks me if I'll go there and sit with it so they will. I say sure, what trailer number is it? She has no idea, no PU#, no info on what it is or where it's going. Ummm ... OK. Maybe I can find out when I get there. It's only 35 miles away.

I get there and there's 2 lines of 6 or 7 trucks each at the gate. Now normally that would suck but since I had no clue what I was going to tell the guard when it was my turn, I figure ... SCORE! Some time to figure things out. So I call the number in the load macro. A very nice young lady answers and after I explain, she says, let me give you this number to call. (Here we go ... LOL) ... I call that one and get yet another. Again, no ideas, clues or info on what the heck I'm doing there. When I get to the gate I see the guards have a load board. Hmmmm ... So I explain things and ask this very cute young girl if they have any Abilene trailers loaded or looking to be loaded.

Sure enough she comes back with 2. One that was loaded last night for London KY that apparently one of drivers bailed on? (Still not sure of the details there) and another live load for tonight. But I need the PU # for either. So I park the bobtail inside the gate and start calling our dispatch. By this time Jo is gone and Spencer answers. Of course he just got there so he has no idea.

After about an hour (I guess) of back and forths I call him and say well, my 14 is about done so maybe I should just head back to that pilot and take my break. He agrees and also agrees to send it via QC so it's all nice an official like. Shower here I come! I thought. The next message I get? A pickup # for the loaded trailer going to London KY ... LOL

So, I made Barstow with it where I write this from the Flying J about to get a shower. :D

And oh, John, guess what trailer I got? 5238. You know, the one with the no charging alternator I fixed the loose belt on our run with your Ummm ... tools? Well, must be loose again only this time I have MY tools. :p I'll get to it in the morning. I'm BEAT and hitting the showers.

(Wonder why the other driver up and left it?)

    MidWest_MacDaddy and KD5AXG Thank this.

Well maybe not. Just went out to do my post trip and the reefer shut down. Looks like it blew coolant from the tank on top and got a "Box temp out of range" message.

No rest for the weary I guess. :biggrin_25521: Calling breakdown. Sheesh!
