Thanks. I keep telling him him he has no choice but to be safe with me. I've explained to him for the last 18 years that I've been married to my wife I promise her I will come home after every trip safe and sound. She's who I dedicate my job too, he's just along for the ride.

Exactly. What he said. Trusting the man behind the wheel makes all the difference in the world. Being the light sleeper that I am, I was dead tired and was able to sleep. Thank God too. Sleep deprivation psychosis does not look good on me. Sitting here in Ripon CA at the Hook after unloading a relay Gatorade load in nearby Tracy. No new load. A rarity in of itself. Tried to call my best friend who lives in San Jose to try to hook up with him, but no dice. Enjoying the near 70 degree weather in Northern California. Definitely a departure from the below freezing and Belo zero temps we have encountered. Time to put on shorts. And flops. Peace my fellow Abilenees.

I should have said trusting the PERSON behind the wheel, not just man as I am quite sure there are many safe women drivers.

I have officially entered the ranks of "spoiled" truck driver. Here it is 15 hours after getting empty and no load. What is this? Abilene has spoiled me to no end with freight, that I'm in a funk because I'm not loaded and headed back east. It's so bad that I sent a message into Tim asking him if it was a surprise that I was in northern California empty, and if I should get a mailing address out here, all after 15 hours I should be loaded, right? At least that's how it's playing in my spoiled , I want it now and my way little world.

I know how you feel, I get wicked uneasy if I don't know what I'm doing next a day before I deliver my current load.
