Sooooo .... this morning was a touch of shake rattle and shuffle but finally got a load out of Anthony TX bound for Plainfield IN. Loading (42k) was fast and delivery not until Monday at 10am.

So I decided to unwind a bit after this past week and a half of craziness. Took a nice scenic route thru Roswell and yeso NM to hit the flying J on the 40 in Tucumcary. Added about 30 minutes in hills to the run but shaved 14 miles. Well worth the sites thru Lincoln national park. :)

Only drove 8 hours as I have time and for whatever reason (sitting so much perhaps?) I just felt tired. So calling it a day and having a sit down meal now.

I'll run it hard tomorrow and be sitting on their doorstep by Sunday evening waiting for the doors to open.

Gotta love Apple hardware... Lasts forever.

Just bought my daughter a new MacBook Air 13" for Grad School... She gave me her old MacBook Pro from 2010... I'm going to max out the memory (unofficially supports 16Gb), replace the HDD with a speedy SSD, and replace the worn out battery.

So it's now six years old and I will hopefully get several more years out of it. And this fall, it will still run the newest macOS too.

But I am very biased in my tech. :)

I have 2 HP laptops with me. 1 is 5 years old and the other 4. Both run great but I use the older one most as its faster with an AMD chip and has 8 gig ram. Not replacing either of them anytime soon. But I'm definetly thinking of an Iphone and throwing this android out the window. I mean ok, its 6 years old and all but what a PITA its become.

You can ask John about that one ... lol

I think my GPS dying last week was one of John's answered prayers. I've been having a good time just using the atlas and all he told me is coming into focus nicely. Local directions can be a pain at times (its amazing how many folks who drive to work everyday can't explain how to get there ... lol), but between phone calls and some directions on the QC its been ok.

I "may" consider not fixing or replacing the TND at all. We'll see.

Ok, just a little biotch here about these cameras. Mines "activated" a total of 8 times now. 1 of which was caused by skipping across the washboard roads of CA while empty that I wrote about here. Ok, that's cool.

But the other 7? 4 while I was parked in a truck stop for the night and 3 while sitting a dock. WTF? Now my DM told me just this morning that Abilene is not doing it as they have an outside contractor controlling them. That may be so. BUT, whoever is doing it must have a perverted side. I mean, if they want to "peak" at me while driving that's fine with me. Nothing to see there.

But when they're peaking when parked? That's an invasion of privacy pure and simple. So, from here on out, while parked at either a dock or for the night, I put a black t-shirt over it. I'll take it down while rolling of course.

Enough is enough! End of rant! :D

Well finally made it back to richmond after one of them weeks....kroger was nice enough to get me unloaded and out of thefe quickly.

Uo and ready to roll by 0800 and a load pops up sending me to the other side of indy. Notify the broker and off i go. Get there and check in only to find that @Redtwin is there, being loaded with my load

Turns out we were sent same broker load info with different abilene load info. His was senf to him the day before mine. Which he had accepted.

A couple phonecalls to the mothership and got a different broker load headed to virginia via kentucky. After the initial hiccup everything else went well.

Now home for 34 or so then off to long island for monday morning. Hopefully next week is more productive than this week has been.

I use my Abilene ball cap.
    Or just shut the curtain.

BTW... My camera has been tossing lots of red lights lately too. Only twice I know why... Hard brake when cut off in heavy traffic and once bouncing empty.... Other than that I have no clue what's tripping it.

Maybe we all shake the camera every morning and tell the contractors "good morning and hello from {insert city/state}"
